Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
