The safety agency has said it is investigating the jet’s service record, which was in the state for repairs weeks ahead of the crash.

Aircraft records revealed the plane was on the ground in that location from early September to mid-October.

The cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder were recovered, and the power plant was discovered on the tarmac.

The devices – referred to as black boxes – were constructed to survive crash impacts and extreme temperatures from blazes, and they looked to be undamaged when discovered amid the crash debris. Authorities intend to reviewing recordings from the recorders.

The plane’s concluding data recordings showed an elevation of 475 feet and a rate of 210 mph prior to the crash.

The company ST Engineering, which stated it offers structural repairs for the company’s aircraft and operates a maintenance center in Texas, declined to speak, but said it would cooperate fully when investigators contacted it.

Activities Restart

In the meantime, the facility operations continued last night with its Next Day Air or evening procedure, spokesperson Jim Mayer confirmed. All three tarmacs at the aviation hub were likewise reopened.

The distribution hub in Louisville is the company’s most significant. The facility employs in excess of 20,000 workers in the locality, manages three hundred trips per day and processes over a huge volume of items per hour.

Local Reaction

A gathering was held on the night of that date by the area Teamsters Union, which supports employees at the airfield, the organization’s primary air cargo hub.

Worker representatives, which stands for UPS workers, began the vigil with a moment of silence at the evening hour, the estimated time of the crash two days earlier.

“This incident was so sudden, so unexpected,” the leader addressed the crowd of two hundred. “No one had a chance to bid farewell to any of those who we have lost.”
