Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
